The Augustinian Sisters Servants of
Jesus and Mary first established themselves at Mannarino
B’Kara on the 16th November 1950. The Sisters served
in St. Monica School which they ran and in addition they
directed the Junior Presidium of the Legion of Mary ”Mater
Purissima” and the Congregation of “The Pages
of the Blessed Sacrament” for girls and “The
Sodality of Mary for young women, later. By November 1962,
the Community was transferred to the new premises at Fleur-de-Lys,
where it is to this present day. The school caters for girls
in Pre Grade (Infants) to Form 5 (Secondary). The main Apostolate
of the Sisters is in the field of Education. In addition
some sisters help by giving Catechism lessons, visiting
the inmates of “Suriet il-Bniedem” for Social
Work and direct a Prayer Group.
